DENVER – Monday, Nov. 22, 2021 – Denver’s Department of Housing Stability (HOST) today issued a draft review version of its 2022 Action Plan. The action plan outlines specific work informed by the HOST Five-Year Strategic Plan, the city’s comprehensive housing and homelessness resolution strategy adopted by City Council earlier this month.
The 2022 Action Plan in English and Spanish is available for comment through Monday, Dec. 6. Comments and suggestions on the plan can be submitted to housingstability@denvergov.org.
A virtual public meeting addressing the plan will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2. HOST staff will overview key elements of the action plan and provide an opportunity for individuals to provide feedback.
The public meeting will also address the Affordable Housing Fund Ordinance. Established five years ago, Denver’s Affordable Housing Fund represents the first dedicated source of local funding to support affordable housing development, preservation, and programs. Per ordinance, HOST is required to review the policy. HOST will report on how the fund has been used and take questions and feedback from the community.
