Recent Milestone for Colfax Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)
The Colfax BRT achieved a major milestone in March 2023. One of three projects nationwide to receive a high rating from the Federal Transit Authority (FTA), the Colfax BRT is now well-positioned to receive requested funding from the FTA Small Starts Program.
The Colfax BRT, slated to begin operating in early 2027, is a prime example of how Denver and its partners are realizing the community’s vision to enable safer, more efficient and climate-focused mobility options for all people. The plan will improve connectivity for those who walk, ride and scoot along the corridor with new signalized crossings, enhanced bike corridors, curb cuts and improved wayfinding.
