When will Veo roll out scooter tech preventing sidewalk riding in Denver? Ask again in 2 to 4 weeks.

“When the public was told there would be a new law that prevents people from riding on sidewalks on July 1, and yet there are still people riding on sidewalks, it’s an erosion of trust,” Councilman Chris Hinds said during a committee meeting September 2nd. The goal was to push DOTI to provide adequate oversight to our sole micromobilty vendor Veo. “Here’s the deal,” said Councilman Hinds, “I believe in, and have been a proud proponent of micromobility. We all deserve the freedom to get from A to B safely, no matter how we choose to get there.”

Veo’s implementation of sidewalk restrictions has been slower than some officials hoped, but the company cited progress on Friday. At the start, Veo spokeswoman Paige Miller wrote in an email, all rides on the company’s fleet began with an audio reminder encouraging riders to stay off sidewalks. Since last week, she said, devices have triggered more than 300 automatic “slowdowns” using a newly active feature on certain downtown sidewalk segments. Veo has also recently prompted app users to take an online pledge not to ride on sidewalks.

Single-family homes listed in August saw prices about 4% lower than the previous year. Meanwhile, the inventory for condos and townhomes increased by approximately 10%. Historically, September has been a favorable month for buyers, offering some of the best deals of the year. Whether you’re looking for a single-family home or a condo, this season may be the perfect time to enter the market.

RTD Proposed September 2026 Service Changes
