DENVER’S PERFECT 10
Accessibility Statement
We all need access. For some, accommodating that access is simple; for others, institutional barriers stand in the way. No matter who you are or where you live, we want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen enlargers, and voice control.
Our standard
We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA, as our guiding standard. This redesigned site is being built to that standard, and we test and remediate on an ongoing basis. If you maintain a website of your own, we encourage you to do the same. Access matters for everyone who uses assistive devices to browse the web.
Ongoing efforts
This website is a living thing: we add content regularly, and accessibility is an ongoing process. We continually test content and features for WCAG 2.1 Level AA and remediate issues we find, using both automated tools and manual review.
Accessibility features on this site
Keyboard- and screen-reader-friendly navigation; a proper heading structure; sufficient color contrast; readable, optimized typography and content width; and a responsive layout that adapts to any device.
Where we’re improving
To maintain compliance we keep researching better ways to make sure everyone is informed accessibly. This is part of a broader effort to make everyone’s experience with Denver’s Perfect 10 welcoming. If you find something that is not accessible, please tell us. It helps us fix it.
Accessibility support
We welcome comments, questions, and feedback. If you use assistive technology and have difficulty using this website, please email district10@denvergov.org or call 720-337-7710. We will do our best to assist you and resolve the issue.
