Starting today (May 1st), District 10 residents can enjoy easier, greener travel with Denver’s new micromobility vendor, Veo, launching e-bikes, trikes, and scooters across the city.
Chris Hinds worked to bring Veo’s fleet to Denver, expanding affordable and convenient transportation options for residents, employees, and visitors who want to get around without a car.
You can rent Veo’s devices through their mobile app, which also offers free or discounted rides for people enrolled in SNAP or Medicaid. This helps make micromobility more accessible to everyone.
If you notice a scooter, e-bike, or trike parked incorrectly or ridden unsafely, you can help keep our streets safe by reporting it. Just take a picture of the QR code, note the nearest street address, and email hello@veoride.com.
Unlike other providers, Veo enforces rules by charging riders for improper conduct, including operator, user, and moving violations.
To keep sidewalks clear and accessible, the City of Denver partnered with Veo to create designated parking areas, such as marked pavement boxes, signed corrals, racks, and stations.
Here are some parking tips to keep in mind:
– Always park devices upright.
– Use designated parking spots or bike racks.
– Leave at least 5 feet of clear space for pedestrians.
– Avoid parking in transit facilities, railroad tracks, garages, entryways, sidewalks, ramps, bus stops, fire hydrants, call boxes, emergency facilities, or driveways.
Chris is committed to making transportation safer and more convenient for everyone in District 10.
