Clerk and Recorder Paul D. López is the only elected Clerk in Colorado who also serves as the Public Trustee administering the foreclosure process in the City & County of Denver. Although the office can’t provide legal advice, administer debt mitigation or appeals, it can connect residents with information resources and provide information on how someone can cure if they are in default on their mortgage.

Due to the economic impact on homeowners caused by the current pandemic, The Office of the Denver Clerk and Recorder, the Office of Financial Empowerment & Protection, the Denver Housing Authority and other community partners will host a series of virtual townhalls for Denver homeowners.
