Housing surge will expedite partner coordination to use emergency resources
While unsanctioned camping continues to be the number one constituent concern the District 10 office receives, recent announcements like the relocation of the Uptown SOS and the EIT protocol may result in changes for housed and unhoused neighbors in our community.
Homelessness continues to be the number one issue constituents contact the District 10 office about in early 2021. We are seeing early successes with the two Safe Outdoor Spaces in Uptown and Capitol Hill, and we are also seeing a huge and continued need for additional resources and housing support for those experiencing homelessness.
Denver launched a partnership between 311 and the Early Intervention Team to provide an alternative response to calls and reports about homeless encampments.
